Hugh Neff carried a 'Cat in the Hat' book for a fourth grade class in his sled, along with a 'Flat Hugh' the children drew, to support their "Read Across Alaska" project.

Martin's dogs are so well trained that he lets them run loose at the finish line. Here he thanks one of them while sipping on a cup of coffee.

That is so interesting about Buser's dogs being able to run loose at the end. Even if my dogs were trained, I can imagine trying to mentally keep track of 12-16 dogs in a crowd when I am tired and distracted. Buser would be fascinating to watch in that situation.
